The Massachusetts Port Authority has named Jose Masso director of community relations and Jim Doolin chief development officer.
Masso, 62, will direct the development and implementation of programs designed to lessen the impact of Massport facilities on its neighbors. He has experience in civic engagement and community activism, beginning his public service career in 1983 in the Governor’s Office of Community Services in the Dukakis administration. He has held community affairs posts at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Northeastern University and the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration.
Doolin, 59, came to Massport in 1995 as a deputy director for planning and urban design and has taken on positions of increasing responsibility since then. After the death of Lowell Richards, he became acting chief development officer, and he has now been named to the position permanently. He will provide overall management and administration direction for Massport’s transportation and master planning, current and future real estate and facility development projects, asset management, ground leasing activities and other new ventures.
