CMA CGM will increase rates on its trade from North Europe, the U.K. and Nordic countries to the Indian subcontinent, effective April 15. The hike will be $150 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container.
Starting April 15, the carrier will also boost rates in its trade from all Asian ports (including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) to all northern European ports (including the U.K. and the full range from Portugal to Russia), to the west and east Mediterranean, Adriatic, Black Sea and North Africa. The increase will be $550 per 20-foot-equivalent unit for dry cargo, out of gauges, paying empties, breakbulk and refrigerated cargo.
Additionally, beginning April 16, CMA CGM will hike rates on its trade from North Europe to the Persian Gulf and Red Sea. The increase will be $100 per 20-foot container and $150 per 40-foot container for dry cargo.
