Dukal has chosen Georgia’s Port of Savannah as its major port of entry and established a new distribution center in the city’s foreign trade zone.
The disposable medical products supplier has contracted for 140,000 square feet at a Tremont Road location in Savannah. The space features 32-foot clearance and 32 dock doors. Falcon Transport will handle drayage from the port to the warehouse, a distance less than six miles.
Dukal has contracted with third-party logistics provider OHL to run the distribution center.
“The Savannah operation will serve everything east of Texas and up to Montana,” said Travis Torre, director of logistics for Dukal, in a written statement.
