Singapore-based Pacific International Lines is expanding its Africa-Middle East-India Service with a weekly call at India’s Port of Hazira.
The revised schedule would be announced shortly, PIL India said in a trade advisory. The service currently covers Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Durban, Lome, Tema, Abidjan, Lagos, Tincan, Durban and Nhava Sheva.
The call brings the number of mainline weekly container services at Adani Hazira Container Terminal, a new private facility, to three. CMA CGM in December last year included a call at AHCT on its Swahili Express 2 (SWAX2) service, and Maersk Line plans to begin calling on Hazira with its Europe-Middle East 3 (ME3) Service starting in early March.
Hazira, about 120 nautical miles north of Nhava Sheva Port, started container operations in August 2012.
