Canadian Pacific named veteran railroad executives Tony L. Ingram and Edmond L. Harris to its board of directors, adding substantial operational experience as the railroad looks to expand its North American operations.
Harris is a 44-year industry veteran who has held senior positions at CP and Canadian National Railway after some 30 years at Illinois Central. A former chief operations officer at CP from 2010 until earlier this year, he had recently been consulting to the railroad on its rail yard operations.
Ingram is a former director of Conrail who spent 33 years at Norfolk Southern who also was chief operating officer of CSX Transportation from 2004 to 2009.
"Both Tony and Ed have extensive and valuable railway experience," said CP Chairman John E. Cleghorn. They will help the railroad "execute on our strategy of re-defining the railway as a modern 21st century transportation company built on safety, service reliability and operational efficiency."
