Truck freight broker Total Quality Logistics said it expects sales to top $1 billion this year as it opened a satellite office in Dayton, Ohio.
The opening of the Dayton facility, TQL’s tenth satellite office, will create 36 sales jobs at TQL over the next year, the Cincinnati-based company said Tuesday. This year, the non-asset transportation company has opened satellite offices in Louisville and Lexington, Ky., Indianapolis, Denver and Columbus, Ohio.
The $762 million firm expects to increase sales more than 30 percent this year, topping $1 billion. That projection was raised from $900 million earlier this year.
“The overall market is expanding for 3PLs,” Kerry Byrne, executive vice president at TQL, said in an interview earlier this year, with growth “across the board.”
The six satellite offices opened so far this year will add more than 280 jobs over the next two years to TQL’s 1,400 employees in eight states, the company said. TQL also has offices in Chicago, Charleston, S.C., Charlotte, N.C., and Tampa, Fla.
