INTTRA. an electronic booking portal for the ocean freight industry, said its business in the first seven months of 2011 grew 18.8 percent year-over-year, more than double the growth of the global container market.
The Parsippany, N.J.-based company said e-commerce adoption grew the most in Asian and Latin America. For instance, INTTRA business grew 60 percent in South Korea; 94 percent in Panama; 84 percent in Guatemala; and 50 percent in Peru.
The global container market expanded 8.1 percent in the first seven months of the year from the same period a year ago, according to Drewry Container Forecaster.
