FedEx Trade Networks opened its first office in Romania and added offices in Germany and China, as the air and ocean freight forwarder expands its network outside of U.S. and Canada to 41 stations since 2008.
The opening of offices in Bucharest, Munich and Chengdu comes after the FedEx subsidiary in mid-July unveiled a service for products with a flexible delivery schedule. The office in Munich is the company’s third in Germany, and the Chengdu office is the forwarder’s tenth station in China.
“Today's shippers need a freight forwarder with global reach," said Fred Schardt, president and CEO of FedEx Trade Networks. "By continuing to build our infrastructure in the world's most critical growth markets, we are delivering on our commitment to provide what we feel is the most complete portfolio of supply chain solutions in the industry."
