AutoInfo, the parent of non-asset trucking and logistics firm Sunteck Transport, increased its net profit 24.3 percent in the second quarter to $905,000.
The transportation and logistics operator increased revenue 25 percent from a year ago to $87 million thanks to organic growth and acquisitions.
In July, AutoInfo acquired a non-asset based truck agent business that bolstered Sunteck Transport’s capacity with more than 300 owner-operators.
“We have continued to broaden our service lines and expand our agent network,” said Harry Wachtel, president and CEO of the Boca Raton, Fla.-based company.
AutoInfo has a business segment offering non-asset transportation brokerage and contract carriage services through its agents, and another that provides agent support services.
“We are poised to continue to broaden our transportation service offerings, expand our agent network and to seek out strategic growth opportunities,” said Wachtel.
