Farmers in the mid-Mississippi River region report that the floods have causes little disruption to grain shipments, according to the Agriculture Transportation Coalition.
AgTC’s Stacie Sines said that in some cases trucks have had to be rerouted, but shippers continue to meet port and rail cutoff times. She said that one shipment was delayed because of flooding at a warehouse, but the high water did not damage the crop.
