Ocean World Lines, an NVOCC subsidiary of freight transportation and logistics provider Pacer International, opened an office in Szczecin, Poland.
The move expands coverage in the Eastern Europe region, where a growing manufacturing sector is driving a shift in sourcing from Asia to Eastern European factories, according to Cord Bruegge, OWL's managing director for Europe.
Poland has recently increased its investment in upgrading the country's rail and road infrastructures.
Through the Szczecin office, OWL will offer air, ocean, cargo management and customs clearance services.
OWL already has an office in Gdynia, Poland, as well as more than 20 others around the world.
