Air chartering company Chapman Freeborn said it expects increased demand for aircraft to evacuate foreign nationals from Egypt in the coming days.
The company said it has already flown hundreds of passengers from Cairo to airports including London Gatwick, Istanbul, Dubai and Barcelona on chartered B757, B737 and ATR72 aircraft and on executive jets brought in from the Middle East.
The company said a growing number of corporations are preparing to evacuate their employees from Egypt amid continuing unrest in the Arab nation.
"Since late last week we have seen a surge in demand from clients looking to move their people out of the affected region," said Chapman Freeborn group passenger director Darren Banham.
"While the situation on the streets appears to remain chaotic we are still managing to successfully dispatch flights from various airports."
