The Port of Oakland announced three hires to advance its five-year strategic plan. The Board of Commissioners last year worked with the port staff and stakeholders to develop the plan for achieving the port's business and strategic goals.
Isaac Kos-Read took on the role of director of external affairs. He joined the port after serving for two years as the senior director of government affairs at the Port of Los Angeles.

Denyce Holsey became director of corporate administrative services. She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and joins the port from the city of Pleasanton, where she served as human resources manager.
Marsha Peterson was promoted to port labor advisor. She has served the past 11 years as the port's deputy attorney with a focus on labor and employment.
Executive Director Omar Benjamin said the new hires will be essential in helping the port to achieve its goals of aligning the workforce, organizational structure and personnel management practices and promoting a proactive and responsive communications model.
