DB Schenker Logistics expanded its network in southeastern Europe with the opening of a logistics center in Pardubice, near Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic.
The 12,000 square meter facility in eastern Bohemia near Poland has room for 13,500 pallets. One of its 15 hydraulic loading ramps can also be used for side loading and unloading.
By The Numbers: Cass Freight Index.
The facility is on the D11 highway to Prague and the R37 to Hradec Králové. It also has a private rail siding with capacity to unload six railcars on the covered ramp.
Pardubice is an important transport hub with expanding infrastructure well connected to the European rail network, according to Karl Nutzinger, member of Schenker's management board responsible for European land transport.
