A Pakistani clothing manufacturer is accusing two U.S. freight forwarders of defrauding it out of some $207,000 in payments due.
Bimsha International complained to the Federal Maritime Commission last week that two New York corporations, Chief Cargo Services and Kaiser Apparel, released three shipments without obtaining negotiable bills of lading and remitting payment.
The case has been turned over to the FMC’s administrative law division, which is to file an initial decision by Aug. 2, 2011.
