CMA CGM added a call at Saigon Premier Container Terminal beginning Friday, Oct. 16 on its FAS Vietnam service.
SPCT, 15 kilometers south of Ho Chi Minh City, features state-of-the-art equipment and terminal operating system as well as extensive reefer and cargo care facilities.
CMA CGM joins other major carriers in taking advantage of new opportunities in Vietnam. Even as trade has shrunk in most countries during the recession, Vietnam is one of a few places with export growth in 2009.
FAS Vietnam service is also calling at Phuoc Long and Catlai, the two other Ho Chi Minh City ports.
The new rotation is as follows: Port Kelang - SPCT - Phuoc Long - Catlai – Tanjung Pelepas - Port Kelang.
