Crowley Maritime Corporation promoted Tucker Gilliam to general manager Dominican Republic/Haiti for the company's liner services group.
Gilliam will be responsible for coordination of sales, marketing, and operations. He will remain domiciled in the company's Jacksonville office and will report to John Hourihan, senior vice president and general manager, Latin America services. Gilliam replaces Nelly Yunta who went on to become general manager of the company's Customized Brokers group.
"Tucker has continued to grow and develop within the Crowley organization," said Hourihan. "He has an excellent understanding of the operations side of what we do and is well versed in multiple Crowley services. He will certainly be an asset to our liner services team."
Gilliam joined Crowley in 1998 as a management trainee in Seattle. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science degree in maritime administration. After completing the Crowley management trainee program, he joined the petroleum transportation group as a marine superintendent and has held positions of increasing responsibility within that business group including his latest position as director, marine operations. Gilliam also, worked in the company's labor relations department as director, marine crewing and development.
Jacksonville-based Crowley provides diversified transportation and logistics services in domestic and international markets.
