Truck components maker Eaton plans to eliminate 5,200 jobs as it cuts back in response to lower demand.
The company cut 3,400 jobs last year. Together with this year's cuts, Eaton is laying off more than 10 percent of its 83,000 workers worldwide. Demand for Eaton's automotive, truck and hydraulics products has seen a "dramatic deceleration," CEO Alexander Cutler said in December.
