Major Japanese transportation firm Sankyu Inc. said that its subsidiary, Sankyu Logistics Vietnam, has opened a new logistics center in Haiduong Province in the northern Vietnam.
Sankyu Logistics Vietnam Freight Center is located within Tan Truong Industrial Zone in Cam Giang District of Haiduong City, halfway between Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, and Haiphong, a major port city, along the national highway No. 5 and has total floor space of 5,568 square meters, Sankyu said in a statement.
Sankyu provides various logistics services globally. It also set up a joint venture company with Japan Post Service recently. The joint venture company, Japan Post Sankyu Global Logistics Co., Ltd., is 60-percent owned by Japan Post Service and 40-percent by Sankyu.
The new Tokyo-based company, established on July 1 based on Sankyu's air freight operations, provides a wide range of logistics services from small-lot cargo to ordinary air cargo.
