Neptune Orient Lines saw container shipping volumes increase 17 percent for the period Dec. 29-Feb. 8, the company said.
The Singapore-based parent of APL said volume totaled 289,400 FEUs, up from 247,500 FEUs from the same period in 2006-07.
Average revenue per FEU was $2,989, up 17 percent from $2,563.
"This period''s performance reflected the continued strong container demand growth and rate improvements," the company said.
