Agility expanded its presence in the Middle East with a joint venture that opens up its operations in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The Dubai-based 3PL formed Agility Kurdistan with Kurdistan Capital Investment and two other regional business figures that were not named. The group plans to build warehousing facilities and provide storage, transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance and associated services. It will also be exploring real estate activities.
"Agility Kurdistan Limited gives us the opportunity to reinforce our presence in Iraq with a new foothold in the North, where there is a huge potential for business growth," said Elias Monem, Agility CEO, Middle East and Africa.
