Tracy Curry has been named as the new director of operations at Port Canaveral, Fla., effective June 4.
Curry is the first woman in the portÕs 53-year history to run its largest department.

Curry most recently worked as cruise services manager at Port Everglades, and prior to that served as assistant operations manager with Florida Transportation Services and also worked as a traffic manager with G&G Shipping and Export.
As director of operations, Curry will be responsible for personnel, vessel traffic coordination, and maintenance of port facilities, roads, and parks.
A native of the area, Curry holds a degree in business management from the University of Phoenix in Fort Lauderdale.
