FedEx Freight, the regional and interregional less-than-truckload subsidiary of FedEx, named Mike Moss president and CEO of FedEx Freight West. Moss replaces Keith Lovetro, who left last month to join the marketing team at rival DHL.
Moss will report to Pat Reed, executive vice president and chief operating officer of FedEx Freight, as do the presidents of the other FedEx LTL operating companies.
"Mike's well-rounded experience in the LTL industry along with his dynamic, people-oriented approach will add to our already strong leadership team," said Reed.
Moss started at FedEx Freight East in 1997 as special projects manager after more than 12 years in the transportation industry. Most recently he served as vice president of operations there. He is active in the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) and the Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Standards Association (VICS).
