Former USF Chairman Paul J. Liska is stepping down from the board of YRC Worldwide, which acquired USF last May.
Liska will not stand for reelection at the company's next annual meeting, YRC said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Monday. He is leaving because of other business commitments and "there are no disagreements between Mr. Liska and YRC on any matter relating to YRC's operations, policies or practices," the company said.
Liska has served on the YRC board since YRC's $1.5 billion acquisition of the USF group of regional carriers. He is a partner in investment firm Ripplewood Holdings.
