NNR Global Logistics USA expects to speed price and rate quotes to customers as its business grows using Management Dynamics' Rate Explorer logistics contract and price management software.
NNR needed to improve its 24-hour response time as rate requests neared 6,000 a year. "Before we automated, some days I could be in the office preparing rate quotes until 9 or 10 o'clock at night," said NNR Global's Ocean Division Manager Liz Boyles.
NNR chose Rate Explorer in part for its streamlined user interface, superior rating accuracy and inclusion of each carrier's applicable general rate increases and surcharges. It also hailed its flexibility to define pricing and build proposals including ocean rate and value-added freight forwarding services, customs clearance and handling charges.
Rate Explorer also helped NNR reduce or eliminate errors incorporated into spreadsheets, text-based contracts and manual data entry of amendments.
