Westport, one of the terminal operators at Malaysia's Port Kelang, is boosting capacity to 4 million TEUs this year from the current 3 million.
Operations manager Ennarasu Karunesan said Westport will further expand to between 6 million and 7 million TEUs by 2007, according to the state news agency Bernama.
Northport, Kelang's other main operator, plans to add 10 new rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTG) by 2005.
Kelang, which serves the capital, Kuala Lumpur, handled a combined 4.8 million TEUs last year, up from 4.5 million in 2002.
