Kuehne & Nagel Ltd. said it has been granted a license to operate as an non-vessel operating common carrier in China.
The license, from China's Ministry of Communications, authorizes Kuehne & Nagel to transport seafreight cargoes from Chinese ports through international shipping lines and operators.
"The new license represents our continuous initiative in providing our customers with widened service offerings and greater flexibility. It will enable provision of world -class integrated logistics solutions as well as further boost our business development in the fast-growing market in [China]," said Andy Weber, managing director of Kuehne & Nagel (Asia Pacific) Management Ltd., in a statement.
Kuehne & Nagel Ltd. has 300 employees and 13 representative offices in China.
