John Tague has resigned as chairman, chief executive and president of this Kansas City, Mo., discount carrier.Mr. Tague gave no reason for his June 15 resignation.
Robert ''Rocky'' Spane, a director of the company, has taken his place.
Mr. Tague took over the top jobs at the airline last Nov. 1.
Richard Kliess was appointed general manager of locomotives for the passenger railroad's intercity business unit, which is based in Chicago.
He reports to Doug Sizemore, vice president of operations support and chief mechanical officer for the Amtrak unit.
Mr. Kliess' background includes service at Chicago & North Western Transportation Co., Burlington Northern Railroad and New York Central Railroad. He also has worked for the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
DELTA AIR LINES
Malcolm Armstrong was named vice president of corporate safety and compliance for the Atlanta carrier.
Starting June 30, he will be in charge of all Delta flight and ground safety programs and compliance.
Mr. Armstrong joines Delta from US Airways where he was vice president of corporate safety and regulatory compliance.
Before joining US Airways, he was in the Air Force for 31 years.
Mr. Armstrong succeeds John Lauber, who resigned to take a job with Airbus Industrie-North America.
