Ministry of Railways has invited international bids for supply of six high output tamping machines as per technical specifications contained in tender documents. Cif/ex-works cost of equipment will be financed by a loan
from IBRD. Bids will be accepted only from member countries of World Bank such as Switzerland and Taiwan China. Bidders will be required to provide a bid guarantee of $12,751 along with bid and keep their offer open for 150 days
from date of opening of bids. A contract performance guarantee bond for 10 percent of contract price will have to be provided by bidder in event of a contract being awarded to him.

India - Foreign Government Tender
S1611 Highway/street construction
Seeking supply of personnel, equipment and services from consulting and/or joint venture firms for supervision of rehabilitation of Guyana's main roads. This project is being financed by Inter-America Development Bank for consulting and/or joint venture firms to execute following road works: reconstruction of pavement, resurfacing of carriageway and construction of shoulders of following roads: approximately 35.7 km road from Georgetown to Timehri, approximately 43.4 km road from Georgetown to Mahaica; resealing of carriageway and construction of shoulders of approximately 67.3 km of road
from Mahaica to Rosignol; widening of a bridge and construction of 2.5 km of approaches. Firms must originate from regional or non-regional member countries of IDB. To qualify, firms must submit details regarding their nationality and complete post-qualification questionnaire. Failure to complete questionnaire will result in disqualification. Bidding documents are obtainable from July 16, 1993, against a non-reimbursable payment of G$12,500 (US$100) from the address below. Proposals will be opened at Ministry of Finance in presence of consultants or their representatives that chooses to attend.
