AVERAGE GASOLINE PRICE
INCREASES 4.5 CENTSThe average price for a gallon of gasoline rose more than 4.5 cents during the past three weeks due mainly to a cold snap that slowed production, an industry analyst said.
New taxes taking effect this month accounted for about one-quarter cent of the overall increase, said Trilby Lundberg, who heads the Lundberg Survey of nearly 5,000 gasoline stations.
The average gasoline price as of Friday was $1.1095 a gallon, up 4.54- cent over the previous period.
For self-service, the average prices were: regular unleaded, 99.37 cents; premium unleaded, $1.1699; regular leaded, 98.06 cents. Full service prices were: regular unleaded, $1.2824; premium unleaded, $1.4162; regular leaded, $1.2589.

TO ASIA RISES IN MONTH
MEXICO CITY - The average price of Mexican crude oil sold to the Far East in
December rose $1.03 a barrel from November, Petroleos Mexicanos said.
Light Isthmus crude sold at an average of $17.78, up from $16.75. Maya was $14.98, up from $13.95.
Crude exports to the Far East represented 14 percent of Mexico's total
December crude exports.
