NORTHWEST CUTS FARES
ON FLIGHTS TO EUROPEEAGAN, Minn. - Northwest Airlines is cutting fares to all six of its European destinations, lowering some ticket prices to $144 each way on a round-trip purchase.
The reduced fares will range from $144 to $229 each way for travel beginning between Nov. 1 and March 14 and ending by March 20.
Reservations will be taken and tickets will be sold until Sept. 15, said Robert Fornaro,vice president of marketing planning.
Destinations are London; Paris; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Frankfurt, West Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Glasgow, Scotland.
FINNAIR OPTIONS BECOME
FIRM DOUGLAS ORDERS
LONG BEACH, Calif. - Finnair, the national airline of Finland, converted three McDonnell Douglas Corp. MD-80 options to firm orders and added an additional three options earlier this month.
Finnair's orders and commitments now stand at seven firm orders and three options. Finnair currently operates 10 MD-80s.
Two of the three firm orders are MD-82s, one is an MD-83. The first MD-82 is scheduled to be delivered in September 1991, and the second in April 1992. The MD-83 is scheduled to be delivered in November 1991.
CONTINENTAL TO OFFER
$59 NY-TO-FLA. FLIGHTS
NEW YORK - Continental Airlines will inaugurate non-stop flights from New York's LaGuardia Airport to West Palm Beach, Fla., on Sept. 7, offering an introductory fare as low as $59 each way.
Continental will offer two daily non-stops from LaGuardia to West Palm Beach.
