Quatronics B.V. of the Netherlands is marketing a system that controls temperature and humidity at various levels to suit potatoes, onions, flower bulbs or other produce stored in a single warehouse.
The system, called Quod 150, is a software program geared for an IBM personal computer with 640 kilobyte storage, plus two 3 1/2-inch diskette drives providing 720 Kb storage each.The system employs a monochrome screen and a standard keyboard, with provision for connecting a printer to log the data generated.
The system allows for automatic temperature change over a period of weeks or months.
