Airline Files Motion
To Reverse DOT Order
WASHINGTON - Continental Airlines filed an emergency motion with the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia for summary reversal of last week's Department of Transportation dismissal of the Seattle-Tokyo international route case.
Continental already had asked the court to reverse the DOT's order of dismissal and Monday's action was intended to expedite that request. Continental asked the appeals court to order DOT to submit to President Reagan the administrative law judge's June recommendation that Continental be awarded the route.
The DOT's Sept. 17 order of dismissal would require initiating a new process to review the route.
