As noted in yesterday's blog post on environmentally conscious wine shipping, container ships can offer a relatively carbon-friendly means of moving goods around the planet.
Today NYK offered a glimpse of how sustainable container shipping could be by 2030.
The Japanese carrier revealed an initial exploratory design of a container ship that would be partially wind-powered, the NYK Super Eco Ship 2030. That happens to be the target launch date, by the way.
