Asia-Pacific-based airline traffic in January 2013 spiked 4.3 percent while capacity slipped 0.4 percent year-over-year outpacing the 3.4 percent loss in traffic and 3.2 percent loss in capacity during calendar 2012. The January cargo load factor was 62.8 percent, up 2.9 percentage points year-over-year, while the calendar 2012 cargo load factor was essentially flat at 66.5 percent, off 0.2 percentage points from 2011.
