The Semiconductor Industry Association reported December sales totaled $25.15 billion, a 3 percent sequential decline, yet 12.2 percent above December 2009.
Chip sales for calendar 2010 totaled $298.32 billion, up 31.8 percent from calendar 2009. The Asia-Pacific region was up 33.8 percent with $160 billion sales and 54 percent of the market, while the Americas were up 39.3 percent with $53.7 billion sales and 18 percent of the market.
