U.S. Trade with Brazil
While Brazil was the 11th ranked U.S. trading partner in 2009, at $46.2 billion with a 1.8 percent share in total U.S. foreign goods trade, trade with the U.S. was down $16.5 billion or 26.2 percent year-over-year. Ranked 10th in U.S. exports at $26.2 billion for 2.5 percent share, Brazil garnered a $6.1 billion U.S. trade surplus in 2009, up from $1.8 billion in 2008.
