U.S. Trade with South Korea
While South Korea was the seventh-largest U.S. trading partner in 2009 at $67.9 billion with a 2.6 percent share in total U.S. foreign goods trade, trade with South Korea fell $8.8 billion, or 18.4 percent, year-over-year. South Korea ranked No. 8 in U.S. exports, with $28.6 billion or a 2.7 percent share. The U.S. trade deficit with South Korea fell $2.8 billion to $10.6 billion in 2009, the lowest in more than a decade.
