Plummeting $4 billion or 11.9 percent from 2008, TVs were a $36 billion U.S. import business last year. In contrast, TV imports from mainland China remained stable at $15 billion and captured a 41.8 percent 2009 market share. TVs made up 2.3 percent of all 2009 U.S. imports in dollar value and were 5.1 percent of mainland China's exports to the U.S.
