Pressure Systems International Recognizes Werner Enterprises as 2011 Fleet of the Year
San Antonio, TX (February 29, 2012) Pressure Systems International (PSI) has recognized Werner Enterprises as their Fleet of the Year for 2011. During the year, Werner began specifying the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS™) by PSI™ on every new trailer purchased; and because of the value MTIS is expected to bring to Werner, they are retrofitting the system on all their existing 22,000 trailers. In order to complete this work as quickly as possible to gain full cost reduction advantage for their fleet, retrofitting is being completed at eight workshops across the United States with plans to add more points later this year.
During TMC’s Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition, PSI presented Dwayne Haug, VP of Maintenance a one-of-a-kind plaque in recognition of Werner Enterprises receiving the 2011 annual award. Mike Niemeyer, PSI’s Director of Fleet Sales North and Central America, noted “Werner was a big part of why we had record sales in 2011 and we wanted to recognize that contribution. When a fleet with Werner’s reputation for making smart decisions chooses MTIS by PSI as their automatic tire inflation system it confirms our belief that we are offering the industry a true value-added product.”
