Vietnam’s International Transportation and Trading Joint Stock Company has ordered four rubber-tire gantry cranes for its new port in Phu Huu Ward Dist 9, Ho Chi Minh City.
The energy-efficient cranes are scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2013 and are part of the first phase of the port, which is set to begin operations in the second quarter of that year. The first phase features a 600-meter-long pier that can handle 2,000-TEU container ships and 36,000-dwt. vessels.
