Tampa Port Picks Jaxport’s Anderson for CEO Spot

Florida’s Tampa Port Authority board of commissioners appointed A. Paul Anderson as port director and chief executive on Nov. 13, after a selection committee chose him as a top-ranked finalist for the position.

Anderson will succeed Richard Wainio, who had served in the position since 2005.

The TPA board directed William “Hoe” Brown, board chairman, to negotiate an employment contract to be brought back to the full board for approval.

Anderson currently serves as the CEO of the Jacksonville Port Authority. He also served five years on the Federal Maritime Commission by presidential appointment.
