Tampa Port Board Approves Anderson as Director, CEO

The Tampa Port Authority’s board of commissioners today voted unanimously to hire A. Paul Anderson as the authority’s new port director and chief executive.

Anderson succeeds Richard Wainio, who had served in the position since March 2005.

Anderson was most recently port director at the Port of Jacksonville in Florida. His selection as the new Tampa port director followed a nationwide selection process.

He has 30 years of experience serving in senior level public and private sector positions, including five years on the Federal Maritime Commission by presidential appointment.
