MSC to offer container service at Port of Tampa.The Tampa Port Authority has announced that Geneva-based Mediterranean Shipping Co. will start offering its global container service at the Port of Tampa.
The service will be provided in partnership with Zim Integrated Shipping Services using five vessels, each with a capacity of 3,000 20-foot-equivalent units, with three ships provided by MSC and two provided by Zim. The service will include direct calls at Caucedo, Dominican Republic; Kingston, Jamaica; Veracruz, Mexico; and Altamira, Mexico.
MSC will open up new destinations and options for exporters and importers via the Port of Tampa, Paul Anderson, the port’s director and CEO, said in a written statement.
