Tom Bellerud, Port of Tacoma's new director of container terminal business development.Port of Tacoma, Wash., has hired Tom Bellerud to lead container terminal business development.
He succeeds Brendan Dugan, who left in 2012.
In his new role, Bellerud is responsible for the profitability and growth of the port’s international and domestic container business, including strategies for capital investment, maintenance and repair and new business solutions.
Bellerud has more than 20 years of experience in the maritime and transportation industry. Before joining the port, he served as regional sales manager for Horizon Lines. He also has held management positions with CSX Lines, Sea-Land Service, CSX Intermodal and CMX Trucking.
