Tom Albro.The Port of Seattle Commission has elected Commissioner Tom Albro to serve as president until the commission holds its annual election of officers on Jan. 8, 2013, in accordance with the commission’s bylaws.
The port said the action ensures that leadership of the port commission is in place and the commission’s planning work for 2013 is uninterrupted as Commissioner Gael Tarleton, who has served as president in 2012, begins transitioning to her role as representative of the 36th district in the Washington State House of Representatives. She plans to leave the commission in January 2013.
