Savannah, Ga. - The Georgia Ports Authority has launched a four-part video series, "Gateway to the World," in which logistics experts from companies such as Caterpillar, Georgia Pacific, Home Depot and Lowe's describe why Georgia's ports are critical to their supply chains.

"This initiative speaks through the voices of those who have experienced the service levels delivered by the Port of Savannah," said GPA Executive Director Curtis Foltz. "Port users share their stories of achieving greater cargo velocity and improved market reach by using Georgia's deepwater ports."

The GPA has partnered with the Journal of Commerce and their industry-leading news and analysis website JOC.com to electronically distribute the videos to an international audience.

"This powerful partnership extends our 'Gateway to the World' campaign, which also features print and web components," said GPA Senior Director of Communications Robert Morris. "By reaching out directly to industry leaders, this delivery method enables GPA to share its competitive advantages with those who decide how cargo moves."

As the fourth busiest container port in the nation, the Port of Savannah is an integral part of the global supply chain. See the Gateway to the World videos here.
