North Carolina State Ports Authority has named Jeffrey E. Miles as its new deputy executive director for operations.
In his role, Miles will drive operational best practices and contribute to the development of business strategy. He is responsible for operations at port facilities in Wilmington and Morehead City, and inland terminals in Charlotte and the Piedmont Triad.
Miles joined the NCSPA in January 2005 as chief operations officer, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a senior-level manager in the maritime transportation industry. He previously spent 10 years as the general manager of container operations at the South Carolina Ports Authority.
