(L-R) Vice Chairman Jerry Allender, Commissioner Bruce Deardoff, Secretary/Treasurer Frank Sullivan, Commissioner John H. Evans and Chairman Tom Weinberg.The board of commissioners for Canaveral Port Authority in Florida has unanimously elected Tom Weinberg chairman for 2013.
Weinberg is the former chief of staff for past Florida Sen. Mel Martinez.
Jerry Allender, a Titusville attorney, was elected vice chairman, and Frank Sullivan, a citrus grower, was elected secretary and treasurer. John H. Evans, also a Titusville attorney, begins his first term on the board. Bruce Deardoff, the immediate past chairman of the board and Merritt Island auto dealership owner, will also be serving.
