PD Ports launches Navis operating system.British port operator PD Ports has installed a new terminal operating system at Teesport’s container terminal.
The system was built by software development company Navis to streamline operations and improve services for customers. It covers wide span gantry crane operations and port-centric logistics activities.
The system was implemented during the second half of 2012 and signifies the completion of PD Ports’ 16.7 million British pound (about US$26.9 million) upgrade of its container terminal facilities.
